Wordy&Nerdy is a blog I've maintained since my freshman year of high school. I use it to reflect, tell stories, and experiment with art and media. It chronicles my adventures, big and small, and it is a platform with which to push my boundaries.
An Interview with La Luz
Insistent keys and snare coupled with guitar riffs and grooving bass built up as music group La Luz began playing “Cicada,” one of the songs from their upcoming album, Floating Features. Guitarist Shana Cleveland’s voice wasn’t alone in lyrics for long; other band members Marian Li Pino, Alice Sandahl, and Lena Simon soon joined, cementing the layered harmonies and robust sound by which the group has come to be known.
I bought some new sandals to walk around my new school. Our campus stretches about 3.4 miles across, and my closest class is a ten-minute walk from my dorm.
People have been telling me to get this kind of sandal for months now, and I finally caved because I knew that my current ones wouldn’t cut it for the treks I face every day. They arrived in my mailbox, and no more than five minutes later they had made themselves at home on my feet. I was determined that these would be my favorite sandals.
